Portugal 2020 reaches 71% of execution and 114% of commitment by December – Observer
Portugal 2020 (PT 2020) reached 71% of execution by December 2021, with all operational programs above 50%, and a commitment rate of 114%, revealed the latest newsletter of the funds.
“The realization of Portugal 2020 in the December 2021 record an increase of 8 million euros, compared to September, the execution rate at 71%”, reads the document.
All the 15 Programs Considered Designed Now Over 50% Execution.
The Human Capital operational programs (83% of execution), Competitiveness and Internationalization (80%), Social Inclusion and Employment (75%), Madeira 14-20 (74%) and Azores 2020 (74%) stand out.
This is followed by the 2020 rural development programs (PDR) of the Mainland (72%) and the Azores (68%), Lisbon 2020 (64%), Sustainability and Efficiency in the Use of Resources (62%), Norte 2020 (62% ) ), Centro 2020 (61%), Mar 2020 (61%) and Alentejo 2020 (60%).
At the end of the table are the Algarve 2020 (57%) and Madeira 2020 (57%) programs.
In turn, the commitment rate stood at 114%, with an increase in approved funds of 6 billion euros in the fourth quarter of last year, compared to September.
The European Commission has already transferred 18,523 million euros to Portugal, within the scope of Portugal 2020, more than two thirds of the total programmed amount.
In total, Brussels has already transferred more than two thirds of the total amount programmed in Portugal 2020 (PT 2020), equivalent to 68.4%.
In December, Portugal registered the highest rate of intermediaries above among the countries with the largest financial envelopes (above 7,000 million euros), with seven percentage points of the European Union (EU) average.
THE amount transferred to Portugal is the fifth highest among Member States, below Poland, Italy, Spain and France.
The EC transferred 296,386 million euros to the 28 Member States, 2.2% of this amount was allocated6 to Portugal.
With a global programming of around 26,000 million euros, the Portugal2020 partnership agreement between Portugal and the European Commission, “in which the principles are established and consist of a programming agreement for the economic, social and territorial development policy of Portugal, between 2014 and 2020”.
The first contests of the program PT 2020 was opened in 2015.
