Outings-Leisure | Marseille: Boy Harsher, Jennifer Cardini, Nicola Cruz… Le Bon Air unveils 25 new names
The Marseille electro music festival is back in force this year from June 3 to 5, notably by changing format. It will always occupy La Friche Belle-de-Mai for a treasure hunt guided by a polished scenography. Above all, it is daytime on Saturday 4 and Sunday 5 June from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. on the roof terrace, in addition to three evenings from 10:30 p.m. to 6 a.m. on Friday 3, Saturday 4 and Sunday 5 June.
In December, Le Bon Air had begun to lift the veil on its programming. We discovered the first artists there: Robert Hood, techno pioneer from Detroit, one of the founders of Underground Resistance with Jeff Mills and Mad Mike; DJ Stingray 313, also a producer from Detroit, revealed within the duo Drexciya, here in B2B with Marcel Dettmann, boss of the Berlin scene; Shlagga, pillar of the Metaphore collective which is a benchmark for the Marseille alternative scene; the American Octo Octa with her partner Eris Drew, behind the parties and the T4T LUV NRG label and the joyful DJ sets mixing garage house and techno; the German Dixon, co-founder with the duo Âme of the Innervisions label; but also Mr Scruff in B2B with Motor City Drum Ensemble; Folamour, a leading artist on the Lyon scene; or Ben Klock, the historical resident of Berghain; and the felt and innovative house of the Englishman Floating Points.
Today, it reveals 25 new names including the American duo Boy Harsher with their dark and relentless electro-rock aesthetic (for the first time in Marseille!); cult label boss Correspondante Jennifer Cardini; Nicola Cruz who brought Latin American folklore into dialogue with electro music; explorer producer Molécule (signed to Ed Banger); the high priestess of industrial techno Paula Temple; Pablo Bozzi to expected productions between EBM and italo disco; but also the producer GREG who mixes techno and Caribbean rhythms; Emma DJ; re:nor; the powerful techno of Anetha and the Musahara creation conceived by Glitter and the choreographers/dancers Nathan Gombert and Lisa Laurent ?? That is around fifty artists to bring this hedonism to Bon Air.
From June 3 to 5, 2022 at La Friche Belle-de-Mai (3rd) in Marseille. Info and tickets: le-bon-air.com
