Consecrated life: San Marino-Montefeltro, mass tomorrow, procession of lights and experience of “synodal consultation”
In communion with the universal Church, the diocese of San Marino-Montefeltro also usually celebrates the Day of Consecrated Life on February 2 of the year. But, a note reads, in this 2022, also due to the well-known health emergency, the Day of Consecrated Life will be celebrated with the involvement of all the realities of consecrated men and women existing in the diocese, with a particular stamp, of the ecclesial journey towards the Synod of Bishops on the theme: “For a synodal Church: communion, participation and mission”.
“Even men and women religious – explains the note from the diocese – will be active and qualified subjects of this path. And with good reason! The contribution that will also be offered by the cloistered women will be a very special gift: the diocese enjoys their evangelical, community and missionary presence. They also have many contacts with people – especially young people – who, although far from ecclesial experience, are attracted by the charm and perfume of the cloister. In the diocese there are 9 female orders with 75 religious and 8 male orders with 38 religious; these subdivisions also include the Ordo Virginum and three hermits.
The program of tomorrow’s meeting, Wednesday 2 February, foresees Casa San Giuseppe in Valdragone, in the Republic of San Marino, as an aggregative and operational center, where all the participants will converge. Starting at 9.30, once the connection with all the cloistered monasteries has been established, there will be a moment of prayer and presentation of the communities and individual charisms. At 11 am the celebration of the Eucharistic liturgy with the procession of lights and the renewal of vows; at 12.30 the community lunch; at 2.30 pm experience of “synodal consultation” on the thematic nucleus n. 2: “Listen. Listening is the first step, but it requires an open mind and heart, without prejudice “. It will be possible to follow the Eucharistic celebration live on the diocese’s YouTube channel.
