LivGood. From Lebanon to Portugal to live in style
Having a healthy lifestyle is increasingly a goal in societies. Something that does not only involve the practice of physical exercise, but also a careful diet. Born in Lebanon, LivGood is an online platform for selling food – of various brands and genres – that promotes a healthy lifestyle. He recently arrived in Portugal, where he has six employees and intends to expand the team, selling, for now, in the Greater Lisbon area. The plan is to create roots in the national market, expanding to Porto and the Algarve, and crossing borders to other destinations in Europe.
“LivGood is a Lebanese integrated trade company for health products”, begins by saying Alexandre Chedid, CEO in Portugal. “We have a team in the company, both in Lebanon and in Portugal, we are dedicated to finding the best products. We would also have nutritionists, in order to educate people about products and recipes. This is because, in the future, we want to sell some recipes – customers buy the products and make the recipes. It’s a concept that we want to develop further”, he adds.
Aimed at a particular audience between the ages of 25 and 50, LivGood does not hide that in the next two years it wants to establish its presence in the national market, before markets like the French. In addition, it is working towards establishing partnerships with national companies to expand its business. “Working with Portuguese suppliers”.
Alexandre Chedid explains that when “we were still about to place a company in Europe, we discussed interesting people in Portugal because of the quality of life, the country’s exposure to Europe, which is something for us, for the Portuguese people, but also for those LivGood is the type of brand that fits the lifestyle that is found in Portugal and for us it was a good market to come and implement the company”.

In recent years, Portugal has been chosen more and more as a place to live, for example by any part of the so-called digital nomads – professionals who can exercise their functional functions from anywhere in the world. Often coming from different cultures, these nomads are detailed or country precisely for the quality of life.
“I was in Portugal for three years when I had a conversation with the president of the company, who was looking for a place in Europe [para instalar a empresa]. He asked me to design a market strategy for Portugal, which I did. The numbers and the country’s position in Europe convinced the group to start in Portugal. This is a great country to test this type of platform and expand in the future both in Portugal and in other countries”, he concludes.
