Letter to the editor – information on spit tests
According to the government’s media release on Covid from January 18, 2022, figures were shown for voluntary spit tests in schools. Out of a total of 44,000 spit tests, 171 were positive, i.e. 0.39 percent. However, I have not found any further analysis on the government websites. It would be interesting to find out more about what the decision-making bases for the obligation to wear a mask for primary school students are. After all, some of them now have to wear masks for up to about 6 hours a day again. The children suffer from this measure. Consider that one hour for a 6-year-old child is subjectively a small eternity.
Interesting information would be e.g. B. the development of the weekly spit test case numbers, the number of tests, the CT values of the PCR tests, the symptoms of those who tested positive and, above all, the change in relevant test parameters over time. Such information could e.g. B. placed on www. Hebensorg.li or the website of the Statistical Office. Good and comprehensive information helps ensure that measures are supported and rumors prevented.
