ISP and VAT represent more than half of the fuel sales price in Portugal?

The relative weight of ISP and VAT in the selling price to the public was downloading throughout 2021, as evidenced by the bulletins of the Energy Services Regulatory Authority (ERSE) on the Fuel and LPG Market.
In the most recent newsletter, November 2021it appears that the relative weight of taxes on the average selling price of simple gasoline to the public 95 corresponded to 55.2%.
“A higher expression PVP component corresponds to taxes, which represents approximately 55.2% of the total gasoline bill, followed by quotation and freight (30.1%). Despite the recent increase in the relative weight, the fact is that ISP and VAT continue to represent over half fuel sales price (55.2% for simple gasoline 95 and 50.8% for simple diesel) in Portugal.
