Porto Genova: a woman vice-consul of the camalli, it’s the first time – Liguria

(ANSA) – GENOA, 28 JAN – For the first time in the history of the Compagnia dei portuali of Genoa, the ‘camalli’, a woman holds the role of vice-consul. The one to be elected is Francesca Ceotto, already a director of the Company since 2015. Ceotto, who plays an administrative role in the Company, obtained 454 votes. The voters were 753 out of 962 entitled. According to vice consul Luca Ledda was confirmed with 388 preferences.

Both were on Antonio Benvenuti’s list, elected Consul last week and who will lead the Company for the next three years: he is in his fifth term. Benvenuti had overtaken the challenger Silvano Ciuffardi who had brought Ubaldo Romairone to the runoff for the vice consuls, who obtained 81 votes. The other candidate in the ballot was Federico Pinna, the man who manages the call to work, a lone candidate who cheered Ciuffardi, and who obtained 353 preferences. Eight were the blank cards.
