Interrupted traffic at Gare de l’Est in Paris causes major train delays
Difficult morning this Tuesday at the Gare de l’Est in Paris: rail traffic was at a standstill due to a lack of power supply in the suburbs, in Château-Landon, according to the SNCF TER Grand Est account. All the trains suffered significant departures and arrivals.
According to the SNCF website, trains at the Gare de l’Est are displayed up to three hours late at arrivals. This is the case of a TGV Reims-Paris which was to arrive at 8:31 a.m., or even 2:30 a.m. late for a Strasbourg-Paris.
Departing trains also show significant delays, such as this Paris-Frankfurt scheduled to depart at 9:06 a.m., which is two hours late, 1:30 a.m. late for a Paris-Strasbourg or even a Paris-Colmar and a Paris-Nancy.
Some the trains have been abolished altogether, like the Troyes-Paris at 11:44 a.m.
Gradual resumption of traffic at the end of the morning
A “gradual” resumption of traffic was planned from 11 a.m., the power supply fault having now been resolved.
