Second division club Wacker Innsbruck occupied a single post as part of the sporting upheaval with a somewhat unusual solution. As the Innsbruckers report, the entrepreneur and bar operator Selcuk Coskun will be responsible for the areas of sports and finance as the new board member.
The upheaval at Wacker Innsbruck continues.
The traditional club Wacker Innsbruck, which is again in transition, has filled a certain post with an unusual personnel decision. According to a statement from the second division club on Monday, Innsbruck entrepreneur and bar operator Selcuk Coskun will be responsible for sports and finance as the new board member. Coskun, who played amateur football himself, is supported by the German Roland Kopp.
The 57-year-old is only allowed to work as an external consultant, as he is not allowed to work in an official capacity at the club as a player’s agent. Coskun is to be confirmed at a regular general meeting in early March. Then the new board team of Wacker faces the election by the members. Entrepreneur Kevin Radi and Bernhard Dornauer were co-opted to the board last week. The 33-year-old Radi is to be the future president of the association. In the background, a German investor is supposed to take care of the financial security.
The coaching question is still open, a decision is expected in the coming days. Interim coach Masaki Morass looked after the team in the pre-season. Until the new coach takes office, the previous sports director Alfred Hörtnagl will still be working with the new team and preparing everything for the handover, as Wacker noted.
