The Italian Minister of Tourism Massimo Garavaglia visits the San Marino Pavilion
The Travel & Connectivity Week opened at Expo 2020 Dubai, which will bring together experts from all over the world on sustainable tourism and new technologies related to travel and travel. The minister, who arrived together with the Italian Commissioner General Paolo Glisenti, and among others, the Italian ambassador to the United Arab Emirates, Nicola Lener, and the president of ENIT, Giorgio Palmucci, was welcomed by the director of the Pavilion Letizia Cardelli. Massimo Garavaglia is shown interested and willing to follow the guided tour of the Pavilion by the volunteers who enthusiastically explained to the Minister the main elements that contain the exhibition itinerary, first of all the Domagnano Treasure and the iconic crossbow. The highlight of the tour took place in the third area with the interactive table dedicated to the country system, where the Director Letizia Cardelli illustrated how the Commissariat inside the Pavilion intended to promote a project born from the idea shared by the Secretariat of State for Tourism and the Italian Ministry of Tourism, which links the Republic of San Marino to Italy. One of the digital displays of the interactive table is in fact dedicated to the TTT Project (Territorial Tourist Table) which has the primary objective of enhancing the territory, which focuses on the State of San Marino and includes 117 municipalities and regions of Emilia Romagna and of the Marche. The plan speaks to the public of a type of sustainable and extraterritorial tourism in line with the principles of the 2030 Agenda and respectful of the indications of the European Union, where thanks to outdoor activities in nature, attentive to human relationships, the most hidden places are rediscovered. and authentic, especially in a period characterized by the pandemic, where people prefer to be outdoors. In these ways, San Marino presents itself as a state of the art, a catalyst for experiential tourism, where sustainability does not only concern the environmental front but also the economic, social and cultural one. Today this strategic theme becomes decisive as the day also presented during the “New Frontiers of Sustainable Tourism” Forum held in the Italian Pavilion by Minister Garavaglia, who was invited during his visit to the San Marino Pavilion to have both enhanced a project that involved him personally.
