Season balance sheet: 42,000 guests at “Vaduz on Ice” – Liechtenstein
VADUZ – From the opening on November 12th to the closing on last Sunday, “Vaduz on Ice” attracted around 42,000 guests, as Location Marketing Vaduz draws a positive balance of the 9th event. More tickets for ice skating have been sold than ever before.
For a long time, the 9th implementation of “Vaduz on Ice” stood on shaky legs due to the measures to combat Covid-19, according to the balance sheet from Location Marketing Vaduz on Tuesday. Ultimately, however, the winter meeting point in the heart of Vaduz was also able to be opened to all visitors in the 2021/2022 season. “Around 42,000 have been welcomed on and next to the ice rink from the opening on November 12, 2021 to the end on Sunday, January 9, 2022,” said the announcement. The weekends in particular have been very popular. In the mornings during the week, 51 school classes had booked the ice rink for themselves.
With 9,150 admissions to ice skating, more than ever were sold, as it continues to be. The booking numbers of the “Vadozer Alphötte” after a year of forced break did not come close to the numbers for the 2019/2020 season. Only around half as many reservations were recorded as in the previous year. “This was mainly due to the fact that many companies canceled their Christmas parties. The legal measures from 3G to 2G, which became increasingly stronger during the ‘Vaduz on Ice’ period, also did the rest,” explains Philippe Nissl, Managing Director of Location Marketing Vaduz. Fortunately, most of the guests would have accepted the “game” that is repeatedly changing due to legal regulations very well, Nissl.
