“BIM” takes place online now
“Of course, after the corona-related postponement in November 2021, we would have liked to have held the ‘BIM’ as a public exhibition at the beginning of the year. Unfortunately, the current pandemic situation makes that impossible, ”says Gabriele Tischler from the Education Department at WK Salzburg. In order to still be able to offer the target group a high-quality range of information, intensive work was carried out in the background on an online concept that enables high-quality contacts similar to those at a live trade fair.
Virtual preparation in schools
In order to ensure that everything runs as smoothly as possible, from the beginning of next week the students will have the opportunity to attend the two online trade fair days as part of the course. “We are in an exchange with the Salzburg Education Directorate and the Salzburg schools and also offer the opportunity to try out the online tool in advance and discover the features,” says Lukas Mang MA, chief organizer of “BIM”. On the days of the event itself (January 20 and 21), the young people can then go looking for information with their parents both at school and at home.
Specifically, visitors to the “Online BIM” have the opportunity to come into direct contact with providers of training positions or further training opportunities in several virtual rooms and to have an online conversation. Entry into the virtual trade fair takes place via the already established “BIM” information tool “BerufsInfo-World” (www.berufsinfo-world.at), which also provides a lot of additional information on vocational training and further education.
The professional information fair “BIM” is a joint event of the Chamber of Commerce, State and AMS Salzburg as well as the EuRegio Salzburg – Berchtesgadener Land – Traunstein.
