Portugal has performed more than 28 million tests since the start of the pandemic
PLast Thursday, January 6th, Portugal achieved a total of 28,074,538 million tests carried out since the beginning of the pandemic, according to data published today on Twitter by the Ricardo Jorge National Health Institute (INSA).
The same note reveals that close to 17.1 million TAAN / PCR tests and about 11 million Rapid Antigen Tests (TRAg) for professional use were carried out.
It should be noted that testing has been increasingly strengthened since the number of cases began to increase, even before Christmas, as a result of the new Ómicron variant.
Now, with the return to school and after the week of contention, this testing has been promoted even more in Portugal, alongside vaccination.
