CDU campaign mainly between Lisbon and Setúbal, but ends in the North
The CDU’s campaign for legislative changes on January 30 will be concentrated mainly in the districts of Lisbon and Setúbal, circles where in 2019 the coalition elected seven deputies, and will end in Braga.
According to the electoral program of the Unitarian Democratic Coalition (CDU) – which comprises the PCP, PEV and Associação Intervenção Democrática – six of the 13 days of the official electoral campaign will be dedicated to the districts of Lisbon and Setúbal.
In 2019, the coalition elected four deputies in the Lisbon constituency and three in the Setúbal constituency, out of the 12 it elected, ten from the PCP and two from the PEV.
The first day of the official campaign, on January 16, will start in Aljustrel, in the district of Beja, with a public session, and end with a rally in Setúbal.

The CDU caravan and the general secretary of the PCP, Jerónimo de Sousa, return to the district of Setúbal on the 22nd, 26th and 27th of January.
Campaign initiatives in the Lisbon constituency are scheduled for the 17th, 19th, 23rd, 25th and 27th of January.
The campaign will end in the North, with three initiatives planned for the municipalities of Maia, Gondomar and Porto and a closing rally in Braga.
The electoral campaign for the early legislative elections of January 30th will take place between January 16th and 28th, according to the calendar defined by the National Election Commission (CNE).
In the legislative updates of October 6, 2019, the CDU won 6.33% of the total votes, that is, 332,473 votes, out of a total of 5,251,064 voters. At the time, the coalition lost five deputies compared to 2015.
