Stars transfer Thomas Harley and Adam Scheel to Taxi Squad
FRISCO, Texas – Dallas Stars General Manager Jim Nill announced today that the club has reassigned defenders Thomas Harley and goalkeeper Adam Scheel from Texas Stars, Dallas’ best development partner in the American Hockey League (AHL), to Taxi Squad.
Harley, 20, has recorded seven assists (0-7 = 7) in 17 AHL competitions with Texas this season. He is split second among Texas defenders and shares fifth among all team skaters with seven assists, while he shares second among the team’s blueliners with seven points. Harley also leads the Texas defender and is second among all team riders with four assists in powerplay. The defender has recorded nine shots on goal, seven blocked shots and four hits at 1:24 p.m. on ice per game in seven NHL games with Dallas this season.
The 6-foot-3, 205-pound home in Syracuse, NY was selected by Dallas in the first round (18th overall) of the 2019 NHL Draft.
Scheel, 22, has earned a 2-2-3 record with 3.57 goals against the average and 0.886 save percentage in nine AHL games played with Texas 2021-22. The goalkeeper has also appeared in six ECHL competitions with the Idaho Steelheads, with a record of 3-3-0 with 2.37 GAA and 0.917 SV%. He holds a career record 6-9-4 with 3.26 GAA and 0.903 SV% in 21 career appearances in the AHL, all with Texas.
In addition, Scheel recorded a 52-18-5 record with 1.95 GAA and 0.916 SV% in 78 NCAA appearances over three seasons with the University of North Dakota from 2018-19 to 2020-21. His 1.95 GAA career ranks first in school history, while his .916 SV% is good for sixth.
The 6-foot-4, 190-pound home in Lakewood, Ohio was originally conceived and signed as a free agent on April 1, 2021.
