A seed was planted in Pisa. The Provincial Federation of Green-Green Europe was born, a project aimed at guaranteeing our community an eco-sustainable future in an integrated and welcoming society that will make all citizens participate and proud. It is the result of a collective commitment that saw the participation of many people, including the late architect Andrea Brogi, to whom a tree was dedicated in the San Rossore Park in the context of the inauguration of the ‘Viale dei Legami’ initiative. We live in a complex society that disorients us and where it is difficult to make values our own and keep them firm. Europa Verde Pisa refers to clear values based on the protection of the environment and the defense of rights, with particular attention to the most fragile categories of society. To face the challenges of the future, we are convinced of the importance of combining collective intelligence and an aptitude for listening within the framework of the aforementioned values. Our ambition is to become a political reference point for all, those who engage in voluntary associations and who find it difficult to recognize themselves in an institutional interlocutor. It is a tough challenge, but we will work hard. As for the cornerstones of the political agenda, we will first use the tool of city assemblies to discuss issues relevant to the community by relying on the knowledge and skills coming from the participants. Secondly, we will carry out training projects aimed at environmental education which has not yet found a prominent place in schools today.
