Speeded across the autobahn at 211 km / h: Police flashed several speeders
The police caught several speeders on Tuesday. One man tried to explain his speed with the fact that he had to go to an appointment. It will be displayed.
On Tuesday, the police carried out several traffic controls in Salzburg. The officers noticed the highest speed violations in several drivers. In the morning, for example, the police stopped a 53-year-old driver from Freilassing. He said he had to go to an appointment urgently. Therefore, instead of the permitted 130 km / h, he was traveling at 211 km / h on the A10 near Pfarrwerfen in the direction of Villach. The German did not have a driver’s license, the police say. He will be reported and face a heavy fine and a driving ban in Austria.
Also on the A10, officials from the state traffic department carried out speed measurements. In the direction of Villach at the height of the Haberland Bridge near Wals, two handlebars were flashed, which were traveling significantly faster instead of the permitted 100 km / h: at 161 km / h and 175 km / h. The drivers are reported and have to expect a driving license withdrawal procedure in addition to a fine.
Truck driver violated rest periods
The officials also checked an Austrian truck driver on the A10 near Golling on Tuesday, because his license plate was dirty and therefore no longer legible. During the subsequent police check, several violations and deficiencies were found. The man behind the windshield of the truck had attached three red glowing LED name plates. The officials found that this lighting was not in accordance with the regulations and other vehicle drivers could be irritated by it. In addition, the signs obstructed the driver’s field of vision – just like curtains that the man had put up in front of the window. In addition, the 44-year-old did not always adhere to the prescribed driving and rest times. The police found six violations and 22 violations due to incorrect use of the digital recording device. The driver and the registered owner will be reported to the Hallein district administration. In addition, the tractor-trailer vehicle must be presented to the vehicle inspection center for a special technical check.
