Genoa, awarded the “Vico Angeli 21R” project for reuse and creativity
Genoa – It is the “Vico Angeli 21R” project to be awarded the 17th Celivo award – Confindustria Genova for innovative social partnership experiences. With the collaboration and support of Amiu, a place for reuse and creative freedom was created in the premises granted for use by the multiservice and urban hygiene company in the historic center.
Vico Angeli 21r. is a creative design workshop where the women detained at the Genoa Pontedecimo Prison, even in external foster care, and the women who have returned free, find a place for training and work placement, including relationships. In the laboratory, bags, fashion accessories and furnishing accessories are made with the “Creazioni al fresco” brand, using the discarded advertising banners and the canvas of broken umbrellas. The public can purchase the creations from Monday to Saturday.

AMIU SpA has been collaborating with Sc’Art since 2014 and made available means and people for the communication of the project, for logistics, offered available places (Fabbrica del riciclo, Vico Angeli 21 r, Ecological islands) services (collection of broken umbrellas, local maintenance) but collaborates with the project also with regard to development opportunities with the Surpluse Reuse Center – European Project Force.
