Major fire in Patsch: two houses and threshing floor in flames
A fire broke out in a hundred-year-old farmhouse late Thursday afternoon. The flames also spread to a threshing floor and the neighboring house.

Patsch – A fire broke out in an old farmhouse in the center of Patsch on Thursday afternoon for a previously unknown cause. The flames quickly spread to a threshing floor and the neighboring house. Seven fire brigades from the area, including the Innsbruck professional fire brigade, moved in.
The emergency services tried everything to protect adjacent buildings from the fire, but the flames continued to spread. Several animal neighbors bravely intervened and rescues dying from the same stall. According to the police, five people with suspected smoke gas poisoning were brought to the Innsbruck clinic for clarification by the rescue team. The 72-year-old resident of the farmhouse and his 37-year-old neighbor stayed with relatives.
In addition to the three buildings, three cars that were parked nearby were also damaged. The amount of property damage had not yet been determined. The cause of the fire was initially unknown, the fire investigators have started their work. “Fire out” could not be announced in the evening, a fire station was set up.
A total of around 140 firefighters from the surrounding volunteer fire brigades and the Innsbruck professional fire brigade were on duty. The crisis intervention team, three rescue vehicles and the police were also on site. (TT.com)
