Auchan Pérols about to be invaded this Thursday by disgruntled employees
After the Auchan store in Béziers last week, it is the Pérols store in the greater Montpellier area which is the target of disgruntled employees.
They intend to invade the hypermarket this Thursday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Last Friday, a participation of staff marched with banners between the shelves of the Béziers establishment at the call of the CGT, and CFDT thus claiming a salary increase equal to 5%.
Thirty Auchan stores affected last Friday
Employees from Béziers, Toulouse and Avignon intend to come and support Pérols staff.
This time around, the CFTC will not be there. This majority union in the company and SEGA-CFE-CGC signed an agreement with management on Tuesday thus confirming a general wage increase of 2.2% in this retail chain.
An agreement to the great regret of the inter-union CFDT-CGT-FO which has been calling for a strike since last week.
“This agreement ratifies proposals to preserve the purchasing power of employees, as part of the compulsory annual negotiations (NAO) 2022 put forward in 2021, and therefore applicable from January 1», Specifies a spokesperson for Auchan.
Before the holidays, the low wages of the distribution voice their discontent
Faced with galloping inflation and the loss of purchasing power, social movements have swarmed in distribution with the approach of the end of year holidays, in particular at Carrefour, the unions pressing for salary increases.
Since mid-December, walkouts, filter dams and blockades of warehouses have been aimed at Carrefour et Action, at the initiative of inter-union organizations or the CGT. The name of some brands may have surprised: Auchan, Leroy Merlin or Décathlon, properties of the Mulliez family, have seen strikes since November, sometimes unprecedented against the backdrop of compulsory annual negotiations (NAO), without always obtaining the desired results.
