Superstar Mavsa has prepared a delivery of gifts to pediatric patients in his homeland.
DALLAS – Luka Magic brought some real magic to the children in his homeland.
Superstar Dallas Mavericks decided to celebrate the holidays this year by surprising about 200 children in a hospital in Slovenia.
According to the spokesman, Dončić arranged hundreds of gifts, including toys and Lego sets, for delivery to the Children’s Hospital of the University Medical Center Ljubljana.
“These kids are going through a lot. I just hope that this will give them a little luck in these difficult times, “said Dončić. “I hope they feel better soon so they can get back to what they love. I think of them and wish the children and their families a happy new year 2022. ”
Each pediatric patient also received a signed photograph of Dončić and a sheet.
“It is amazing that Luka, the national hero of Slovenia, finds time to think about these children! We are incredibly grateful for everything he has done to make these children laugh during these holidays,” said Dr. Marko Pokorn, medical director at the children’s hospital.
Doncic’s appearance in the NBA has put his homeland, located in Central Europe with just over 2 million people, in the spotlight, according to data from World Bank.
He is also one of the three players currently in the NBA who are from Slovenia, the other is the Toronto Raptors guardian Goran Dragić.
Dončić and Mavsi are currently 14-15 this season, as they continue to drive in the meaning of the playoffs with just over 50 games to go.
