School doctors critical of vaccinations: Ministry of Education threatens dismissal
CORONAVIRUS
An open letter from around 200 doctors critical of the vaccination to the Medical Association is also causing waves in Salzburg. Dozens of doctors from Salzburg have signed, three of them also work as school doctors. The Ministry of Education is threatening them with dismissal.
Among the signatures is that of the Salzburg state school doctor for higher schools. The names of the around 200 doctors critical of the vaccination are under an open letter about the Covid 19 vaccination to the President of the Austrian Medical Association, Thomas Szekeres.
After the open letter became known, the Salzburg Education Directorate announced that it would investigate the matter and investigate whether the medical professionals named as signatories would put their personal signatures under the open letter.
Signatories question the effectiveness of the vaccination
The signatories of the open letter question the effectiveness and safety of the vaccination, especially for people under 65 years of age without risk factors. Among the three Salzburg school doctors who profess letters is the state school doctor for federal schools, such as grammar schools or commercial academies. The Salzburg Education Directorate is currently still cautious about possible consequences for three Salzburg school doctors – the cause is currently being examined. The designated state school doctor could not be reached on ORF request.
Salzburg Medical Association President “shocked”
In any case, Salzburg’s Medical Association President Karl Forstner is “shocked” that a total of 35 Salzburg doctors are listed as signing the open letter. He speaks of “pseudo-science with given facts that do not correspond to reality”.
“Personal opinion of the doctors”
Ultimately, however, this is a subjective opinion on the subject of vaccination. This is not yet a reason for disciplinary contradictions in the medical association. on the other hand, according to Forstner, this would only be available IF A doctor advises a patient, for example, with broader knowledge.
