Salzburg are already in play-off form
The Eisbullen continue their winning streak with a 5: 4 at the KAC.
There are still more than two months to the start of the “fifth season” as ice hockey fans die selected phase in the championship. If things go according to the curve, the play-offs for EC Red Bull Salzburg can come. Because Thomas Raffl and Co. celebrates their fifth victory and twelfth point gain in a row with a 5: 4 in the eternally young duel at the KAC.
It was not a shooting festival like the last time it was 8: 2 in front of the home crowd against Fehérvár, but the almost 2,000 spectators in the Klagenfurt town hall still got to see a scoring – and a little surprising tension until the final siren. Because the league leaders gave a three-goal lead twice (3-0 and 5-2). So there was a highly explosive final phase in which the Red Bulls with a strong goalkeeper JP Lamoureux thwarted several very good chances for the Carinthians and brought the narrow but deserved away win over time.
In addition to Lamoureux, the line with Raffl, Benjamin Nissner, double goal scorer Peter Schneider, Dominique Heinrich and Charles Vincer Lo Verde stood out. So Salzburg go into the short Christmas break as leaders of the table. Coach Matt McIlvane’s team will be visiting Innsbruck on Sunday, and Linz will be coming to Volksgarten on Tuesday.
