PS intends to “continue the exercise” it has been doing for Portugal
Speaking to journalists after delivering, at the Palace of Justice, in Lisbon, lists of candidates for deputies to the Assembly of the Republic by the circle of Lisbon, Duarte Cordeiro said that the PS is “united” and has “a very clear objective: to win as authorized legislative “.
“We want to gain the legislative advantages to create a stable government for four years for Portugal, elect António Costa as prime minister and govern with very clear objectives: fight the pandemic, recover the economy, increase the average wages of Portuguese families,” he stressed.
According to the president of the PS Lisbon Urban Area Federation, the PS lists for the real legislative ones have “new faces”, but also “faces that continue”, recalling that, in the 2019 legislative reviews, the PS carried out a “renewal “.
“Above all, we propose to continue the exercise that we have been carrying out for Portugal. We want stability: we did not want to interrupt this government cycle, it was not us who failed the State Budget, we wanted to approve a State Budget”, he referred.
The secretary of State for Parliamentary Affairs also maintained that the current pandemic context shows a “difficulty” that is the country being in “the process of legislative review”.

The PS delegation that went to the Palace of Justice to deliver as lists for the Lisbon circle included, in addition to Duarte Cordeiro, the former mayor of Lisbon Fernando Medina, the Deputy Secretary of State and Energy, João Galamba , the Secretary of State for the Inclusion of People with Disabilities, Ana Sofia Antunes, and the deputy Isabel Moreira.
