“Passengers on the flights referred to in the preceding paragraph, as well as passengers who, regardless of origin, present a passport with departure registration from the countries referred to in the annex 14 days prior to arrival in mainland Portugal, must comply, after entry into mainland Portugal, a period of prophylactic isolation of 14 days, at home or in a place indicated by the health authorities”, is the document, referring to the seven previous countries.

Additionally, passengers who do not stay more than 48 hours in Portugal are exempt from isolation.
The application of these restrictive measures was decided on November 27, with the aim of preventing the spread of the new variant, which has up to 32 mutations, and is more contagious than before.
The new rules also apply to those arriving by land or sea (having been in one of these seven countries in the 14 days prior to arrival).
