Victor San Marino returns to the field after observing a rest session on the first day of the second round due to the exclusion of Alfonsine from the Emilia-Romagna C group.
Captain Barone and his companions will in fact face Valsanterno away before the Christmas break with the aim of winning another success not only to give continuity to the wonderful victory obtained with heart and character against Russi at the San Marino Stadium in Serravalle but also to try to climb the rankings at the expense of other teams.
The match will be held on Sunday 19 December at 2.30 pm at the Borgo Tossignano municipal court (Bologna) and will be directed by the referee Federico Bruschi of the Ferrara section with the support of the first assistant Flavio Latifi of the Piacenza section and the second assistant Massimo Pili of the section of Rimini.
Here are the statements of Gianni D’Amore, coach of Victor San Marino: “In the last two weeks the team has trained well, also taking advantage of the enthusiasm deriving from the victory in the league against Russi at the San Marino Stadium in Serravalle. A victory that gave the team the awareness of being able to play with everyone and beat anyone with the right attitude and the right concentration. We are happy to have the new signings Ambrosini, Carrer and Cola in our team: we have followed and strongly wanted them, we are satisfied that they then decided to join our cause. Next Sunday’s match will be difficult because, despite a few points behind in the standings, Valsanterno plays well and has good experience in the squad compared to ours. The defeat suffered by Valsanterno last weekend I consider an unfair punishment for what has been seen on the pitch. Valsanterno will want to revenge and take back what they have lost in the past weeks. We will have to be very careful and make a great performance to get points in Borgo Tossignano ”.
In the meantime, two Victor San Marino players have been called up in the Junior Under 19 Representative of Emilia Romagna, in anticipation of the 2022 Tournament of Regions: right-back Matteo Luvisi and midfielder Riccardo Michelucci. Both will train with the other 19 players called up by selector Sergio Fancelli on Wednesday 22 December 2021 at 2 pm at the “Fausto Ferrarini” stadium in Castelfranco Emilia (Modena). The whole club congratulates both of its players and wishes them a big good luck for their new important and exciting experience.
