Bordeaux : le spécialiste du solaire Newheat lève 7 millions d’euros
The French leader in solar heat production, which already has 6 thermal solar power plants in operation and under construction, is raising funds of 7 million euros.
“There is an urgent need to accelerate the development of our renewable, competitive and virtuous heat supply solutions, and thus offer an energy alternative allowing us to build a sustainable future,” said Hugues Defréville, president and co-founder of Newheat, in a press release. The French leader in solar heat production, which already has 6 thermal solar power plants in operation and under construction, is raising funds of 7 million euros. Created in 2015 in Bordeaux, the company, which has 22 employees and plans a combination of hires within 2 years, provides complete solar decarbonation solutions, waste heat recovery, short and long term storage and heat pump.
Twice winner of the “i-nov” innovation competition, New Heat had raised 1.8 million euros in 2017 and carried out a financing operation of 15 million euros in 2020. This second funding round, carried out with Bpifrance, via its France investment energy environment fund (FIEE), and historic investors of NewHeat (the investment company Noria and the Basque industrial group Etchart), must allow the company to finance the acceleration of its development in France and internationally.
