Energi Norge believes it is not possible to postpone the online doctor scheme – NRK Norge – Overview of news from different parts of the country
The plan was to introduce a new scheme for grid rent from the New Year, where those who use a lot of electricity have to pay more than those who use little.
But on Friday morning, the Labor Party, the Center Party and the Socialist People’s Party announced that they have agreed to postpone the scheme until the spring of 2022.
But it can be difficult, says the interest and employer organization Energi Norge.
– We have loyally arranged for this to be introduced from New Year. And we have informed both the Storting and the government that it is now too late to postpone the reform, says CEO Knut Kroepelien to NRK.
Kroepelien says the company has been working for half a year to put in place what is needed to carry out the restructuring. They have all the way received assurances from the government that she will be implemented from.
According to Energi Norge, it is not possible to wait either practically or technically.
– We are in an impossible situation. We believe this is a good and right scheme that will mean that groups with low and jam consumption get lower grid rents. Now it must be the politicians themselves who must take responsibility for the situation we have found ourselves in, says Kroepelien.
Receives support from the ministry
Earlier this week, the government confirmed that it was not relevant to postpone the new grid lease model.
State Secretary Amund Vik (Labor Party) in the Ministry of Petroleum and Energy confirms to NRK that online medical companies can introduce the new scheme from the new year, regardless of the agreement made in the Storting.
– What no one is exposed to is the duty of the network company to have more power-based tariffs. Many network companies are ready to implement the scheme, and they can do so, says Vik.
