Send a postcard to space, Slovakia is the first European country with this opportunity
The inhabitants of Slovakia have the opportunity to offer a postcard by 6 February 2022, which will fly to the edge of space. Postcards will be stamped “It flew into space“, In English Flown to Space and delivered by the uploader in Slovakia.
Matej Poliaček from the Space Generation Advisory Council (SGAC), which together with the industrial unit of the Slovak Space Office takes care of the logistics of the Space Post in Slovakia, informed about it. He also noted that Slovakia is the first European country with this opportunity.
Space Mail
Those interested on the Space generation website in the Space Mail subsection are looking for a pre-printed pattern of a space postcard, which they will print on hard paper. Then they draw or write the answer to the question why the Earth needs the universe on the clean side.
On the other hand, they will state their correspondence address and affix a stamp. They will then put the postcard in an envelope stating the address of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Informatics of the Slovak University of Technology in Bratislava.
Mission of the Foundation
The postcard into space will bring out the New Shepard space rocket from Blue Origin, which founded the Club for the Future Foundation. The foundation’s mission is to inspire the next generation to pursue a career in STEM – in science, technology, engineering and mathematics – and thus contribute to the future of humanity in space.
Working on the development of reusable launch vehicles, Blue Origin founded Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos with the vision that humanity will need to expand, explore, find new and material resources and relocate industries that burden the Earth into space.
