Google shows evaluation of the most popular holiday resorts in Switzerland
Discovering new places has a special charm. For this reason, many people like to travel to foreign countries. However, the corona pandemic is still having a major impact on trips abroad. Since entry rules are constantly changing, you usually have to be spontaneous and ready for anything. That is why many Swiss people limited their city trip to their own country this year. A search evaluation by Google shows which Swiss locations were particularly interesting this year.
1st place: Zurich
The city of Zurich is not only the largest city in Switzerland, but also the most popular place in Switzerland this year. No wonder, there is a lot to discover in the exciting city on the Limmat. The famous Grossmünster is particularly worth seeing. Another highlight is the shopping mile on Bahnhofstrasse, which invites you to stroll.
In winter, the dreamy Christmas markets are sure to cause a stir. One of them is located on Sechseläutenplatz. This is one of the most beautiful Christmas markets in Switzerland: It is located in the heart of Zurich and is surrounded by the historic opera house and Lake Zurich. The pretty streets in the old town invite you to stroll. Here you will find many small boutiques and bakeries. For those with a sweet tooth, a visit to the «Läckerli Huus» should of course not be missed. In addition, Freie Strasse offers great shopping opportunities. During Advent, the oldest Christmas market in Switzerland takes place in the old town, and it always attracts a lot of attention.
4th place: Bern
In addition to its role as a federal city, Bern is known for many other things. The famous Bundeshaus, the Zytglogge and the Bärengraben make the city on the Aare very popular. Therefore, Bern is also one of the most popular Swiss places. The city attracts with its magnificent old town.
