Covid, San Marino already closes schools. Home checks for those returning from travel
Given the widespread leap of infections, there are those who play in advance in the name of prudence. After the meeting between the Government and the Civil Protection at the headquarters of the Secretariat of State for Education, in San Marino It was decided yesterday afternoon to close schools of all levels for a week. The decision is also extended to the teaching activities of the University of San Marino, as well as the activities of cultural institutes, again for one week. Stopping classes is just one of the provisions of the new package of anti-Covid measures adopted in these hours.
Home checks
The executive order also provides for the obligation of fiduciary quarantine for those returning from areas at risk, with isolation inside their homes and the prohibition of any contact for a period of 20 days. The Secretary of State for Health, Ciavatta, informed the local press that there would be no particular cases and suspected outbreaks, but that he also spoke of first home checks following calls from some residents returning from travel. And in the hours already a new meeting of the coordination group for health emergencies has been called.
The data of the infections
New record of infected in the last 24 hours in San Marino: 105 new positives, out of a total of 478 active cases, while 51 new healed. The number of hospitalized patients is also growing, 10 in total, of which 2 are in intensive care. The total number of infected people identified from the beginning of the pandemic until midnight yesterday of 6,464 of which: 478 active positives (average age 36, 261 females and 217 males), 94 deaths and 5,892 recoveries. There are 10 people admitted to the hospital, two in the intensive care unit and eight in isolation. Two guests of the RSA at Fiorina, positive for SARS-CoV-2, were also transferred to the hospital for organizational and precautionary reasons. There are 468 people on the island.
