Coronavirus
In the city of Salzburg, sports halls and gyms as well as the city library will open again after the lockdown on Monday. The AYA indoor pool will be open again on Sunday. In the Paracelsusbad, however, you still wait.
The AYA indoor swimming pool on Alpenstrasse will be the first to open again among the sports facilities: From Sunday the pool will be open again for the times, the magistrate emphasized in a broadcast on Friday. In the Paracelsusbad at the Salzburg spa garden, on the other hand, one will wait for the exact regulation for opening after the lockdown. Here it will be decided on Monday how to proceed, it said on ORF request on Friday.
Longer opening times for “Eiszauber”
New rules apply from Sunday for the open-air “Ice Magic” in the Salzburg Volksgarten. The opening times have been extended – from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and from 2 p.m. to 9 p.m. A maximum of 250 ice skaters are allowed to do their laps on the artificial ice rink at the same time. The prerequisite for this is a 2-G certificate (also recovered or vaccinated) or a ninja pass. All guests must also register; FFP2 masks are compulsory in the cabins.
The city library, which temporarily had to help out as a contact tracing office during lockdown, will be open permanently on Monday. In the library, however, a 2-G certificate is mandatory, and an FFP2 mask must be worn during the library visit, emphasized the magistrate. The book bus will also be back in the various parts of the city from Monday.
Halls can be used again for club athletes
Club athletes will also be open again from Monday for the municipal sports halls – including the Alpenstraße sports hall, the North Sports Center and the gyms of the municipal schools. The ice arena will be available to athletes again from Sunday. Due to the regulations in the opening ordinances, the rules could still be adjusted at short notice, according to the city of Salzburg.
