Snow Space Salzburg: Well prepared for winter – video with Hermann Maier | Snow Space Salzburg
Snow Space Salzburg started the ski season on December 16, 21. The mountain railways have produced a video with Hermann Maier to inform ski guests about COIVD measures.
Wagrain (OTS) – Snow Space Salzburg will open its doors on December 16th and start the ski season. The proven COVID-19 security concept will be continued in order to offer the best possible protection against infection. Among other things, the mountain railways have produced their own video with Hermann Maier to educate ski guests about preventive measures.
The Snow Space Salzburg Bergbahnen start next Thursday, December 16, 2021, with an extensive range of cable cars and slopes in the winter season. The entire 12 summit ski connection is opened the very next day. Winter sports enthusiasts can then take advantage of the wide range of slopes and adventure offers of the connected winter sports destination in the Snow Space Salzburg from Alpendorf via Wagrain, Flachau, Flachauwinkl to Zauchensee.
This year, the ski area is again relying on the tried and tested regulations and active communication in order to protect skiers from infection in the best possible way. “The start of ski operations WILL be accompanied by a tried and tested safety concept, which implements all legal provisions in the best possible way and also provides sensible measures. Our concept was very well received by our visitors last season, ”explains CEO Wolfgang Hettegger. Not a single infection was reported in the ski resort last winter. Snow Space Salzburg was also recognized by the International Ski Area Test as a ski area with the best prevention concept. As in the last season, the mountain railways have produced their own explanatory video in which Hermann Maier, the protagonist, explains the safety precautions to ski guests in an understandable and easy-to-understand way. The 1:45 minute long video WILL be distributed on the website of the mountain railways, the social media channels, the info screens in the ski area and in the ski buses as well as in the hotel TV channels. This means that every guest has the opportunity to obtain comprehensive information before the day of skiing.
The preventive measures in detail
According to the applicable legal regulations, access to the ski area is only permitted for persons with proof. There is currently no obligation to provide evidence of COVID for children up to the age of 12. From the age of 12, the 2-G rule applies, although this can also be replaced by the Ninja Pass, which is issued at Austrian schools for children and adolescents up to 9th grade. During school holidays, school-age children can replace the Ninja Pass with a PCR test. Compliance with the 2-G rule in the ski area IS controlled by the further developed access system.
In order to minimize waiting times at the cash registers, online ticketing for skiers has been expanded; for everyone who already has a keycard, it is the easiest way to get their ski ticket. The 2-G proof to be provided can also be provided online. “With online ticketing, accumulations at the mountain railway ticket offices can be avoided and everything can be straightened out,” explains Hettegger. Anyone who does not yet have a keycard can still use the online shop and pick up the keycard at the pick-up machine.
In closed rooms as well as in the gondolas, the FFP2 mask requirement applies. Children from the age of 6 to the age of 14 are allowed to wear close-fitting mouth and nose protection, children under 6 years of age are exempt from the mask requirement. The mountain gastronomy is different than in the last winter season – the 2-G rule also applies here according to the current legal provisions.
