the Covid-19, it’s far from over. Illustration this Tuesday, November 23, 2021 in the walls of theSaint-Joseph establishment in Caen (Calvados). Near 800 students, 796 specifically, are subjected to a saliva test in the morning to track down positive cases. 23 primary classes and 7 classes of 6e are concerned.
Three closed classes
At the end of last week, the school administration was forced to close three primary classes, following the discovery of a positive case in each of them. In primary school, the rule is simple: the detection of a positive case in a child results in the closing of the class. Very quickly, the health authorities decided to set up a massive test, as of Tuesday.
“The vast majority of parents have given us their agreement to carry out the tests, and everything is going very well this morning”, we know within the institution. Eight staff from the Carmelite laboratory are on site to ensure the samples taken from the students’ mouths.
Staff and teachers who so wish can also be tested. The three closed classes must reopen after 7 days.
