Top performance in the “24-hour bike challenge for LIGHT INTO DARK”: First place for Team Salzburg
9 federal states – 9 days – 9 teams: Celebrities cycle for a good cause
Vienna (OTS) – The six cyclists in Salzburg took first place and made it into the final. The team around ski racer Hannes Reichelt achieved the top value of 845.48 kilometers. The bike challenge has thus developed into a team challenge, because the Salzburg team are firmly in the final stage for the overall victory. The teams from Carinthia and Burgenland, currently in second and third place, are not sure yet – after all, the stages in Vienna and Lower Austria.
The Salzburg team captain Hannes Reichelt finds the competition among the countries “cool to push each other and cycle as many kilometers as possible” – and ultimately to bring in a lot of money for LICHT INS DUNKEL. The team with ski racer Nicole Hosp, cyclist Gerrit Glomser, the two parachutists Sophie Grill and Manuel Sulzbacher, and author Clemens Trischler, carried out his tactic – not to give everything straight away and to persevere in the night – perfectly: “The strategy was right, but also the fighting spirit, the whole team spirit has brought us to where we are now – with 845 kilometers driven in first place! “
Team sponsor Daniel Bauchinger, managing director of the Salzburg house care facility, Bauchinger: “We wanted to be a team sponsor in Salzburg because we support LICHT INS DUNKEL all year round and are personally proud and happy that we can all be healthy – family, friends and the company . That is why we are happy to give a small part back! “
