Rome, 3 Nov. – “Thanks to the commitment of Ivan Scalfarotto, first as Undersecretary for Foreign Affairs and today as Undersecretary of the Interior, it has been possible to solve the by now long-standing problem of the circulation in Italy of vehicles registered in San Marino by persons registered with the AIRE conducted. With his support it was possible to induce the government to resolve a question that we had been living like Italy for some time. And the conditions were created for the approval of a text which provides for a derogation from the amendments to article 93 of the Highway Code wanted by the then yellow-green government, which repealed the traffic ban for vehicles with foreign plates driven by who has been resident in Italy for over 60 days “.

“Thanks to the change made in the European law, this prohibition will not be applied if the owner of the vehicle, resident abroad, is present on board. Or if the drivers residing in Italy for over sixty days are driving vehicles registered in the Republic of San Marino and owned by companies based in the San Marino territory, with which they are linked by an employment relationship or continuous collaboration ” . This was declared by Senator Laura Garavini, Deputy Vice President of the Italia Viva-Psi Group and Vice President of the Foreign Commission.
