He lives in Epidaurus
Christos Politis’ secular appearances were significantly reduced, while he cut the interviews with a “knife”.
The colleagues he has kept in touch with are few, as he realized that the only place where his soul really calms down is his home in Epidaurus.
This house, which he bought with the efforts of a lifetime, is his personal earthly paradise. The TV sets and the theatrical board, not only have not been missing, on the contrary close to nature he feels completely calm, enjoying the small joys of life.
Those who see him say that he is more serene than ever, having left behind all his artistic activities. “He is always smiling and cordially greets anyone who expresses his admiration”, it is said that each of its areas states, as reported by the website gossip-tv.gr.
His family, but also his few good friends do not leave his side for a moment, giving meaning to his quiet daily life. Although he still accepts professional proposals for theater and television, he chooses to abstain.
Why did he retire?
In fact, his interviews are rare. He recently revealed the reason he left Athens and moved with his family near Epidaurus.
As he said, he preferred not to compromise with the roles he did not want to play: “As the footballers hung their shoes, so the actors must leave. Someone withdraws from the space if he does not do for the space or does not make the space.
For me, the conditions of the profession were such that I no longer liked it. The suggestions that have been made to me ever since were funny. I was not interested in getting into a theatrical routine, to be constantly on stage, to see people, to get money. No, that did not interest me at all. And I’m talking about theater exclusively.
Television is another thing. It is a place where one makes money. And that’s why, after all, I made TV. “Theater is a testament to the soul.”
While disappointed, he revealed that his salary was much lower than that of his younger colleagues.
