Metro de Lisboa has a two-day strike next week and, through a press release, the company indicated that on Tuesday circulation should resume at 10.15 am but on Thursday there will be no promotion all day.
No statement sent this Saturday, it can be read that “trade unions representing the workers of Metropolitano de Lisboa, EPE have given strike notices for the next 2nd and 4th of November, so it is expected that the transport service will be affected in the specified periods for these strikes”.
The company Metropolitano de Lisboa clarifies that “on November 2, the strike is scheduled for the period between 5:00 and 9:30 for most workers and between 9:30 and 12:30 for the Administrative, Support and Senior Technicians”. This day, “Metro is expected to start the transport service from 10:15 am“.
As for Thursday, November 4, “a 24-hour strike is scheduled for the majority of workers, so it is expected that the transport service closes from 11:00 pm on November 3rd and reopens at 6:30 am on November 5th ”.
If the services provided on the basis of convoys are decreed, the company will assess whether it will have operational conditions to reopen the service between 00:00 and 01:00 on November 5th”, the statement added.
“The Metropolitano de Lisboa thanks its customers for their understanding and regrets the inconvenience this stoppage may cause”, the statement ends.
