Monaco draw in Nice

AS Monaco moved at the beginning of the afternoon to their neighbor from Nice for the first derby of the season. After a midweek victory in the European Cup, ASM had to move on. Against a strong Nice team, ASM managed a draw (2-2).

In an empty Allianz Riviera, it was the Niçois by Dolberg, before his exit from injury, who put themselves forward. The Monegasques, however, resumed the game on their own from the quarter of an hour of play. At first dangerous on set-piece with Golovin, Niko Kovac’s players were then dangerous in the game. Ben Yedder in a first time then Caio Henrique had good chances but it was Alexander Golovin who scored the first but Monegasque well served by Gelson Martins on the other side of the field.

After the locker room, the game was balanced between the two teams but the Niçois managed to equalize. New recruit Andy Delort on a good cross from Gouiri scored his first but with the OGCN. More offensive, the Galtier player scored a second but by Boudaoui. A few seconds later on a foul on Caio Henrique, the Monegasques managed an equalized on penalty by Ben Yedder. Nice could have regained the advantage but Gouiri missed the transformation of his penalty.

The next meeting in Ligue 1 of the Monegasques will take place this Wednesday, at Louis II, against Saint-Etienne.
