AntwerpAfter eleven years of building and renovating, the KMSKA opens its doors to the public with a unique opening festival. On Saturday September 24, 2manydjs will close the first day of the festival. The Dewaele brothers conquer the festival stages at home and especially abroad for many years.
The program of the opening festival of the KMSKA includes a . It brings an eclectic mix of performances, surprising performances and performing acts. The 22 Artists in Residence of the KMSKA form the backbone of the festival. A number of cultural players in the city, such as Antwerp Symphony Orchestra, Royal Ballet School Antwerp, deCHORAL, everyone sings,… complete the program.
2manydjs (also known as Soulwax) will close the first day of the festival with a DJ set. Carmen Willems, general director of the KSMKA: “The festival program immediately shows what the new KMSKA stands for. A museum with a special dynamism, daring choices and, above all, good taste. 2manydjs is a DJ duo that is etched in the collective memory and at the same time is still relevant to young people. Being able to close the first day of the festival with such a hit is a whole icing on the cake.”
The free festival will take place on Saturday 24 and Sunday 25 September on the facade and in the garden of the museum. 2manydjs plays from 10 p.m. to midnight.
