This Thursday, September 8, La Diagonale, the new living space of the Academy was effectively taken in the presence of His Serene Highness Prince Albert II of Monaco.

Delivered and used by all components of the Academy since August 2020, after two years of work, La Diagonale had not yet been detected due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

His Serene Highness Prince Albert II of Monaco, Ekaterina Sartori Rybolovleva, member of the Board of Directors of AS Monaco and Juan Sartori, Vice-President and member of the Board of Directors of AS Monaco, proceeded this morning to the cutting of the traditional inaugural ribbon, thus marking the official birth of the building.

Previously, Jean Castellini, Minister of Finance and the Economy of the Prince’s Government and Xavier Beck, Mayor of Cap-d’Ail, had spoken before some thirty invitations, including Pierre Dartout, Minister of State, Patrice Cellario, Minister of the Interior, Yvette Lambin-Berti, Secretary of State.

La Diagonale has in fact been designed to bring together on a single site all the young talents of the Club, in order to be able to set up a centralized operation and offer them all the necessary services and equipment (accommodation, teaching, catering, care, a physical training).

Organized on 6 levels, the building sees nearly 70 young red & white shoots and 60 members of the technical management (coaches and staff, performance/medical department, recruitment, daily life, education, etc.) rub shoulders daily.
