Prague was sharp. None of them made it to the list of the coolest streets

According to the editors of the international magazine, Victory Street is lined with some of the best bars and restaurants in Montreal. Enthusiastic diners can go here for great sandwiches, authentic French cuisine or great coffee. According to the magazine, the picturesqueness of Rue Wellington, which is exclusively for pedestrians in the summer, is also a plus.

Gertrude Street in Melbourne and Great Western Road in Glasgow are next in line. The cool factor, i.e. something that the magazine regularly highlights, is especially in these cases many diverse businesses, often also cultural use. Fourth place belongs to Jung-khang Street in Taipei, fifth is Copenhagen’s Værnedamsvej, which the magazine describes as a small Danish Paris.

Karangahape Road in Auckland, Taiping Shan Street in Hong Kong, Yaowarat Road in Bangkok, Oranienstrasse in Berlin and Hayes Street in San Francisco round out the top ten.

The ranking of the coolest streets in the world consists of a total of 33 representatives from all over the world. From Europe, there are Kolokotroni in Athens, Deptford High Street in London, Praça das Flores in Lisbon, Cutting Room Square in Manchester, Capel Street in Dublin, Calle Echegaray in Madrid and Carrer del Comte Borrel in Barcelona.

The ranking is compiled on the basis of a survey among 20,000 people who live in specific cities. “We wanted to know the places that locals love – the coolest parts of the coolest neighborhoods in the world. As soon as we had a narrow choice, we took it to our experts,” the magazine writes about the ranking, which, however, also includes the car itself and external contributors.

This year, Time Out also announced the best world cities, where Prague took the sixth position. Edinburgh became number one.
