According to the Italian and English press, AC Milan are interested in acquiring 27-year-old City winger Raheem Sterling.
There is almost a month left before the end of the season and the clubs are starting to think about next season. One of the rumors circulating in Italy and England is that of a possible transfer of Raheem Sterling. The 27-year-old England winger is completing his seventh season in Manchester and according to the “Gazetta dello Sport”, Milan would be interested in acquiring his services. Sterling’s contract with Manchester City expires in 2023 and, despite the number of attacking players Guardiola has in his squad, Raheem is the Catalan manager’s most used player. He is the team’s second top scorer with 14 goals, despite not being a striker.
In England, the Daily mail report that Sterling himself is awaiting a possible renewal offer from City before making a decision on his sporting future. With a market value of €85m, Milan would have to ‘scratch’ their pockets if they want to land the England winger this summer. However, the Milanese optimism of the latest rumors which point to the possibility of a change of ownership of Milan. The Investcorp investment fund would be ready to buy the Rossoneri club for an amount close to a billion euros. With the arrival of the new owners, the Milanese “tifosi” would have good reason to dream of the arrival of big names, including that of Sterling.
