Amsterdam certainties for the consequences of subversion

The fact that this is a difficult time for entrepreneurs has also not gone unnoticed. More and more often we receive offers from ‘wrong helpers’. But how do you get started and an approach at hand?

Former police officer Siemon Krol and security advisor Rik Bolink provide training to make shopkeepers and entrepreneurs resilient against undermining. “We prevent entrepreneurs from becoming unwanted from a criminal network.”

Crime is always visible and therefore sometimes difficult to recognize. Even as an entrepreneur you can go unnoticed with undermining. You may have been offered a cash loan offer from a demand to rent out a space in your business. It seems harmless and such an offer can seem like a nice solution if you have financial worries. But if you do business with improved ones, that is punishable. That is why it is important to recognize similarities of subversion.

Recognize undermining

As a former police officer, Siemon Krol knows better than anyone how to improve. Together with security advisor Rik Bolink, he visits Amsterdam entrepreneurs to find out about the consequences of undermining. “Due to Corona and the urgency to make entrepreneurs alert, we decided to visit personally,” said Siemon. Rik: “The entrepreneurs are positive about our visit. first we were invited to discuss further in the back of the company. Both at the art dealership in Spiegelstraat, the sauna in Kinkerstraat and the catering facility in Van Woustraat. Entrepreneurs indicate that they do know what undermining is. But after listening to us, the most important entrepreneurs had become a lot wiser.’

Tailored advice

The problem isn’t just that criminal behavior isn’t mentioned. There are also entrepreneurs who pick up on the similarities but do nothing out of fear. ,,Entrepreneurs want nothing to do with it and are sometimes afraid that otherwise they will also be standing at their door”, Rik explains. “Or they think that nothing will be done with a report.” “An advantage of this personal approach instead of a meeting is that an entrepreneur still shares more if the neighbor is not present. That way we can provide much better tailor-made advice.”

More information

Siemon and Rik visit entrepreneurs throughout Amsterdam. Soon they will be walking through the shopping streets in Zuidoost, Nieuw-West and Noord. Would you like to know more about this resilience training for entrepreneurs? Report this to the area broker in your area.
