Historically good coefficient week: the Netherlands best this season
It was a great week for Dutch football in the various European competitions. Ajax beat Besiktas on Tuesday, in Europe on Thursday and Conference League victories were booked by PSV, Feyenoord and AZ. That provided a cartload of points for the coefficient rankings, resulting in sixth and fifth places in the rankings being very close.

Feyenoord gives Slavia Prague first loss in 1.5 years
In a match with two faces, Feyenoord has shaken off Slavia Prague. The team of Arne Slot played a formidable first half in the second group match of the Conference League, but after the break Feyenoord dropped far back and made Slavia another game. Orkun Köhnkükütung’s goals: 2-1 sufficient for Bryan Linssen.

PSV flushes hangover from a dramatic week with first European victory
PSV is still clear in the European League. Against the Austrian Sturm Graz it became 1-4, partly due to a beautiful goal by Philipp Max. The people of Eindhoven almost had a little too deep from the Austrians, who still had a small revival on the 1-2 of Jon Gorenc Stankovi?. Ibrahim Sangaré and Eran Zahavi accounted for the other hits.

AZ after much better second half past Jablonec
AZ booked its first ever win in the Conference League on Thursday. The Alkmaarders were 1-0 too strong for the Czech Jablonec on their own field.

Vitesse gets too little with a draw against Rennes’ ten
Vitesse was close, but with a 1-2 defeat against Stade Rennes, no points were left in the first home game in the Conference League. Thomas Letsch’s team was unable to settle in the second half via a quick counter in the first half on Thursday evening. Shortly after the 1-2, Rennes was shown another red card, but despite a frantic attempt, Vitesse was unable to come alongside.

Wonderful: PSV, Feyenoord and AZ in the lead in their European groups
PSV, Feyenoord and AZ have taken the top positions in their European groups. After the three clubs drew in the first round – there was more in it – they all won on Thursday evening. Due to the results of the other matches in their groups, both clubs are currently at the top of the Europa and Conference League interests.
