The locomotive hit Slavia hard

The Prague team is a newcomer to the competition and before the season they put together a strong team, whose clear goal is to advance to the highest competition. Lokomotiva Plzeň was fully convinced of Slavia’s strength, taking home a defeat with a difference of 39 baskets.

In the first quarter, the West Bohemians still held the second step with Slavia, followed by, for example, former player Nymburk and captain of the Czech national team Pavel Pumprla. In the following two parts, however, the home team fully demonstrated its quality and bounced back to the decisive difference.

“We built the strongest line-up we have against Slavia, when we also used the players from Děčín. We believed that we could compete in the lower position and on the rebound. Unfortunately, we did not cope with the perimeter. Bradley together with Pavel and Radek Pumprla caused us huge problems and analyzed us, “explained Pilsen coach Erik Eisman, who, however, did not find any positive despite the defeat.

“It’s a good finding that we won’t run into a team as strong as Slavia. It was an unpleasant 24 hours, but I think that such a match will move us into the future, “added the coach of the Pilsen Locomotive.
