According to the committee, for several years, the isdaT, like other art schools in France, has suffered a chronic financial deficit extremely disturbing:the administrative director has sounded the alarm several times to alert the community to the serious difficulties of our establishment, present and future. This deficit is mainly due to the expansion of the missions required by the supervisory bodies with a budget that has nevertheless been reduced (Town Hall and Metropolis and first place), by the failure to support the thawing of the index point, but also by the inflation and the energy crisis.”
Several hundred thousand euros would be missing from the school’s future operating budget. “It is not acceptable that one of the art schools in France’s fourth largest city should be deprived of the opportunity to do its job well“Denounce students, teachers and staff.
Jérôme Delormas, general manager of the isdaT, rightly invited the press, Wednesday February 2 to announce “the new features of the isdaT’s training courses for the start of the 2023 academic year, to unveil its new ambitions, in particular on the dissemination of artistic creation to disabled audiences and to take stock of its development at the international level.“
