the Lumières sur le Quai festival is looking for candidates for its programming
Call for projects. the Quay of Knowledge is looking for artists and cultural projects that could participate in the next edition of the festival Lights on the Quay. To participate, candidates must meet several selection criteria. The call for projects is open until Sunday, March 5, 2023.

Fire is the subject of the 2023 edition
First important criterion, the proposed project must fall within the festival theme : “Play with fire”. The festival aims to “mobilize a large audience of inhabitants of the Toulouse metropolis and the Occitanie region around questions related to the futures we imagine”. Thus, many themes are discussed and with this year’s, all the ideas around the fire are welcome.
The ninth edition of Lights on the Quay will take place from October 20 to November 5 and will be a continuation of the exhibition Fires, megafires. Many questions will then be raised while reflecting on climate issues. It is in any case one of the major axes of the festival: “playing with fire while reconnecting with climate hope”.
For who ?
This call from quay of knowledge then look for project ideas. Especially on the side artistic projects, it is one of the important points of the festival, the visual arts. The event will then present monumental or more intimate artistic installations/Arts-Science creations, digital, photo or video installations, forms of street performances offered on weekends, or even films or interactive experiences of the VR type, AR, mixed realities.
Note that the festival can program existing works but also original creations. Monumental installations must be presented outdoors and certain artistic installations may be visible from the Quai des savoirs. Forms of live performance on stage can also be proposed in the call for projects.
Of the workshop ideas can also be offered at the festival. They must then be designed to be presented to the public in the afternoon, a weekend, a week or longer. In any case, the workshops must be designed to welcome the public every afternoon of the festival, in continuous flow.
How to submit your project?
Until March 5, 2023, project leaders who meet the criteria can then complete the form available here. The ideas are then selected by the programming committee of the festival. He then seeks relevance, form, technical and budgetary variation.
The results of the selection will be announced from the end of March 2023. The installation and assembly of the projects will take place upstream, the dates will be determined. All ready before the festival from October 20 to November 5, 2023.
