The pleasure woodpecker visits the middle-class Huberhof. A little hidden in the alleys of Rum, but with parking spaces right in front of the door, you will find the Hotel Restaurant Huberhof in a quiet location. In addition to the cuisine and the ambience, the service is particularly impressive.

The atmosphere
Upon entering the traditional house, we were greeted politely at the bar and taken to our reserved table. The small Tyrolean-style dining room offers a pleasant atmosphere for both hotel guests and à la carte guests and invites you to linger.

The food
The small, traditional menu offers a selection of typical Austrian dishes. Seasonal recommendations also expand the menu and make you want more. From delicious aperitif recommendations to local beer to a selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, everyone will find something for their taste. Unknown drinks were also explained on request. The attentive waiter didn’t have long waiting times and always tried his best. The beef tartare in the starter was not only beautifully presented, but also tasted great.

The tomato cream soup was flavorful and garnished with cream topping and croutons. The first impression of the main dishes was immediately convincing. The portion sizes and the appearance of the prepared plate left nothing to be desired. The salads consisted of seasonal, local products, although the marinade could use a little more zing. In contrast to the beef tartare, the main courses were rather mildly seasoned, but the taste was convincing.

Tasty classics
The Wiener Schnitzel breading was crispy and the Kasspatzln, different from what you’re used to, but very tasty. “Huber’s Burger” would also be indispensable for those who are undecided. However, we did not get to enjoy this because in our case it was unfortunately over. The dessert menu on site offered more alternatives than researched in advance from the online menu. A selection of pancake variations, a small ice cream menu as well as waffles and a warm chocolate cake ensure a successful conclusion. Matching coffees were served at the same time as the desserts. There are no alternatives to cow’s milk.

The conclusion
With an atmospheric and friendly atmosphere, the Huberhof invites you to spend a quiet evening. Whether vegetarian, fish or meat, there is something for every taste. As shown on the map, great value is placed on regionality and local products.
