L1: Monaco 3-2 Auxerre (final)
the 02/01/2023 10:53 p.m.
Despite a two-goal advantage at the break, Monaco won in pain against Auxerre (3-2) this Wednesday during the 21st day of Ligue 1.
From the first minutes, the Mongasques moved towards the attack and Disasi sent a first shiver on a missile touched by Radu. But it was ultimately the player in great form in recent weeks for Monaco, Ben Yedder, who defeated ASM with a cross shot from the left (1-0, 11th). The seventh but in six league games for the Mongasque captain. Behind, the Principality club insisted and the young Ben Seghir scored his third goal in L1 with a straight strike (2-0, 30th).
The Auxerre reaction? Almost non-existent … until the 68th minute. While the intensity had dropped a notch in the second half, Monaco very (too?) calmly granted its advantage of two goals, Abline restarted the match by resisting Maripan before winning their duel against Nbel (2-1, 68th ) . A first warning for the ASM, followed by a second. Since, in the crowd, Da Costa missed the equalizer by presenting Nbel’s right post. While Monaco had to kill the suspense with a powerful right shot from Embolo (3-1, 82nd), Da Costa kept Auxerre alive (3-2, 84th)! At the end of an unbreathable end to the match, Monaco was able to catch its breath…
